Woh. That is not good to earn no money. Andy has already earned $59,200 for reaching the Montreal QF which will keep doubling for each win thereafter !

I think his massive lost streak has been partly down to his choice of tournament. The last three have been clay, which seems odd since he doesn't seem to be particularly good on it and it's not like clay is a major surface in Britain so he can't really say he prefers it. Aside from grass, he's had his best results on hard courts, reaching the final in the mixed at the UO so why doesn't he play on hard courts more. All the times he's played clay events or challengers there have been similar events he could have played at which we on hard courts, it doesn't make sense to me...

Don't infect my positivity with such lies!
I'm kinda hiding behind the idea that the world and his wife is against him cuz I don't wanna admit that. (but it's in the back of my mind...

I don't think he is rubbish. We've seen him display great talent in the past. He is naturally gifted. He just doesn't work at it. And he seems to have no confidence in his own ability. Which is obviously having an effect on his play.

Thank you! Someone who's wavelength I am on!
You're right, you don't win Wimbledon, get to the finals of the us and reach the semis of Wimbledon by chance, and so what if it's mixed, and you can't say it's totally down to his partener cuz they've been different.
I feel so bad for him...

He sparkled in those early DC matches too. Ok, bit of a diamond in the rough but he played some beautiful doubles. He and Booty won back to back titles and reached the later stages of a MS. You can't just right him off and say 'oh, he's just rubbish.' Whatever's going on it's not a reflection of his talent but something more. Perhaps it's something he could do something about. Could be he's too cocky, or absorbed with his life off the court. Whatever it is, he's not rubbish. He's just playing rubbish. I could call it the Boggo effect... but he's actually won at Wimbledon and DC!!!

I would say that the problem is in his mind. I agree with Shooting Star that Jamie has lost confidence.
I would say that Jamie unknowingly visualises negative results before a match thereby unwittingly attracting a poor performance. Once Jamie has regained his confidence and believe again in his ability, his practise and games will improve significantly.

I don't think his confidence is helped by the fact that he keeps entering challengers- I guess he's trying to get his ranking points back.
When he played at San Marino which is a main tour event he got further than he has done at any of his recent challengers and played quite a good match.
I also think his lack of confidence stems from the fact that he is a doubles player, when he could have been a singles player. But what can you do?..

I would say focus on his goal of becoming a better double player by sticking around Andy and his team a bit more. Maybe ask the experts for drills to improve his skills. Train hard, be more focused, determined on what he want and get more support and encouragements to pull through this rough time. I am sure Andy with his vast resources will be more than happy to help his brother. This also means Jamie needs to let go of his ego and ask for help. There is no shame in that.
Once the belief returns then the rest will follow.

Yeah, like why didn't he train with Andy in Miami? It would have set him up really well.
But bless him, sometimes admitting you have a problem is the hardest and it can't be easy to ask your baby brother for help, especially when he's having so much sucess...
