I wonder what is causing Jamie's sudden loss of form (lack of dedication on the practise court ?)

It's 2013!

Sensible decision. Murray and Fleming. Unless Jamie wins a few rounds in IW he'll drop out of the top 50 in the rankings.

They were regular partners a couple of years ago, I saw them play the Bryans at the Boodles in 06 I think.

Yeah I know, hence the suggestion. Think Flembo's keen to pursue singles too though and I don't know if Jamie'd go back down to Futures with him so he can do both...

Lack of motivation and I don't blame him... if you are in singles and reach the top then everyone knows you but if you are in doubles you'll not be heard of by the general public if you are the best in the world and win every Slam for a decade.

I am surprised if it is lack of motivation. I thought that Jamie was saying that he was living the dream when he won the Wimbledon mixed. It appears that the Wimbledon win was actually bad for Jamie in the long run because it might have made him think that he was already good enough whereas the reality was that Jelena carried him through. Hopefully, being near to Andy will help reignite his desire to practise and form. I think that Jamie will need to put in the hard work and then find a partner that clicks with him like Butorac did.

Yes I agree the Wimbledon win has probably had a role in his decline. I think someone else here posted that Jamie had apparently got cocky after that.

I think it may have the opposite effect. Jamie may be demotivated by the reality check that he's sooo much poorer a player than his wee brother. Particularly when Andy can win at doubles too. I watched Jamie's IW post match interview and it was terrible. He didn't look like someone desperate to win, and prepared to work hard to get it. Unfortunately, he seems to have swallowed the prevailing british tennis attitude that says: "We're mediocre, but that's ok because we try hard". That's not the talk of champions.
