Murray's blockbuster movie

Quote

Who should play him? John Gordon Sinclair would have been fantastic but is a bit old now.  confused

Pacino, surely? Picture the scene..."So which team will you be supporting, Andy?"

Young Andy of course has to be.....

I have his book and enjoyed reading it and I believe he produced it to try and clear up the misconceptions put about by the media.  It was much too early in his life to do it, something with which I believe he now agrees with hindsight. A film seems a bit silly at the moment, later perhaps when his career has revealed all he is capable of. I wonder if the Dunblane school episode of his life prompted the film makers to go for this in view of the shock, horror, drama element. Why don't they want to film the life of Fed? If tennis has anything to do with it surely he or Agassi or Borg would be more appropriate.

He didn't need a book to clear up the misconceptions and that's why I think he basically admitted he did it for money and that it was a mistake.

We'll just have to disagree then, sure he might have done it for money but I don't think he was targeting his own fan base. I see the book as more of him getting the opportunity to clear up some misconceptions and those misconceptions would not be held by his own fan base.

What are you confused about?

Post 1: One of the main reasons for Murray's book was an attempt to clear up some misconceptions about him.

Post 2: But Murray didn't need do release a book to do that.

Yesterday you saw the book as more about getting the opportunity to clear up some misconceptions than the Money.

Today he did it for the Money as he didn't need a book to clear up the misconceptions.

My opinion didn't change, you're over analysing my posts. My view remains that he probably did it for money and as a way of getting rid of some misconceptions. It's a mix of both, not sure which one was more important to him though.

Post 1: It wasn't only to do with money, it was to do with misconceptions as well.

Post 2: He didn't need to do a book to clear his name so money had to be a factor as well.

a) He's far too young for this.

b) If you were a Dunblaine relative, would you want the massacre dramatised? They'd all hate Andy if he sold out on this.

Depends if the focus is on the massacre or just his life story in general.

Cuz of his love of James bond, Murray would probably want it to be Sean Connery...
but that's hardly practical now is it?
