what A stupid article ... andy has been through just as much , if not more than people such as Wayne Rooney and ashley cole but they dont get critised for releasing a book ... ok i think it is a little early to do it but the reason he is doing it is coz someone was going to write an unofficial one anyway

far too early to be releasing a book but have to agree with rochelle, people like rooney and cole have done nothing in their life compared to andy

I agree... It is a publicity stunt... I mean, even Johnny Mac, who is still fairly young, released an autobiog, but it's actually good...
I loved Johnny Mac's book!! But he's had a long career and a fairly tubulent personal life too...

I agree he is much too young for a book, It reminds me of Steven Hendry when he was surprised but this is you’re life his reply was “but I’m only 23” or something like that.
It seems like a cynical ploy to add to a multi-millionaires already inflated bank balance by exploiting fans who will buy the book.
When it comes out I hope the shootings are not included Andy has been dignified and said very little on the matter and I hope he keeps it that way. To profit from this event would be unforgivable no matter how good a tennis player you are or might become.

Dumblane shootings, moving to Barcelona, becoming a tennis pro, beating Federer and throwing up on center court at US Open!
Not so sure he will mention Dunblane and i wouldn't blame him if he didn't to be honest but thats just my personal opinion no offence to anyone

No of course, I agree, he probably wont mention the shootings, and rightfully so. What I meant was there wasn't really much he could write in his book. He's not quite had the most succesful career as of yet. When he wins his first slam will be the right time!
Sorry for being misleading!

Yea to be honest I'll agree and say it's too early to release an autobiography. There's obviously a story to tell, and that will be interesting, but they should have left it a few years just to avoid the "publicity stunt" accusations like this.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Briefly talking about Dunblane is not unforgivable... it's a major incident in his life and we are lucky he survived. It's not like they are going to market the book like, "The young boy who dodged a bullet... etc etc".

point taken,
I realise that it will be covered and I probably could have worded my original post better I should have said something like:-
It (the shooting) should be covered in a dignified and sympathetic manner taking into consideration the possible effects on the families directly involve (i.e. lost children) in much the same way as he has deflected questions on this subject up till now, to sensationalise this aspect of his life in the interests of increased sales or a more lucrative newspaper serialisation would be unforgivable.

Agree with the article blurb. Pure publicity stunt - he's 19 for God's sake. If you have to bring out an autobiog. when you're still young, bring it out when you retire and you've actually lived a little.
There's a few of you who've said that he's too young - Laura's was just the first I got too.
I think that he's too young also, but then Wayne Rooney has got his out, as too have the Beckhams
Tis all for money!

But that doesn't make it right.. Andy has plenty of money now, he is a millionaire with a world class coach for free...
