I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Why do interviewers say Andy is sullen? Have they looked at Nadals face or Federer/ Anyway Good Luck Andy we are all routing for you.
They don't understand him. He doesn't feel the need to put on a 'face'. He doesn't give a fig what people think about him. You wouldn't call him charismatic, but I think he's actually quite a deep, interesting and amusing character. He has the balls to be himself, basically.
I actually love the fact that his English critics, who are largely retarded, chavvy morons who can't see past the next crappy football bore-draw, haven't taken to him.

^ I disagree re the charisma. It's exactly his nonchalance that makes him charismatic. He's outside of the ordinary - intriguing. Lots of people maybe don't get it, however.

He's doesn't have charisma off the court although he is getting more emotive/charming over the years.

Again, I have to disagree. He's enigmatic and very controlled off court. This makes him very interestiing.

He's a shy young thing
doesn't like bearing his soul to the press
He did do well in the on-court post-match interview today though

^ I don't think he's one bit shy. Private, maybe.

Nadal looks like Mogli ...
Awwwww, that is just so like him, I get the feeling that if he had the chance, he'd rather just be at home, partially naked on the beach, in a primative way...
I've recently become a little bit more of s Nadal fan.... And less of a Federer fan...

Haha I guess you have to say that because of where you come from!
It's just easier to hate Murrays biggest rivals, but sometimes Nadal does of says things that are really really cute, and that picture just reminded me

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Sorry - I've seen pictures of Andy off-court even in his earlier days when he's been relaxed and his normal self. Plenty of jokes and laughing - and he's great with children, who can't get enough of him! Concede though that his straight-faced dry wit is probably lost on some.

Agree but expect we saw a lot more of Murray in the Scottish media.

It does suck but I think Nadal deserves the benefit of the doubt. It may have got to the stage where three more games could have been three more weeks of recovery. And remember, he did say some very nice things about Andy after the match.
I don't think there was any doubt. Have just watched the VR and a close look at Nadal in what we saw of the 2nd set showed him repeatedly gently flexing his right leg at one point. By the 3rd he was in trouble, as John Lloyd pointed out. He's a great sportsman and no quitter, and we don't know just how much pain he was playing through before he pulled out.
