I never worry about Andy's matches outside of the Slams, bar against other players in the top 8.
In the Slams I tend to get nervous about every opponent (well, those that are top 50 anyway), because there's so much more on the line and most of those guys are capable of an upset on their day.

Well, not sure about you, but I'm hoping to be alive and well on September 9th. That's the day before my birthday, so all I've asked for is a major win for Andy. Isn't that nice of me lol.

Ugh. I will be snoring my head off when the semis come. Sleep is like my life ok.

It seems to me that after playing so well against Querrey and then coming out the next day a different player there had to be an underlying cause. Perhaps we will never know what but hopefully if this is the case he recovers before USO. With Mr Lendl's help I am sure he will.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

Thanks Masaka - but some sloppy writing as it said Andy was beaten in early rounds of Toronto when in fact he withdrew. Final should be 9th but if bad weather yet again it could be 10th. Now if he won it on your birthday tj sweeter still I think?

Indeed, what a birthday present that would be! I'd forgotten about all the delayed finals the USO has had over recent years. Wasn't last year the third year in a row it was delayed until the Monday or something?

it's certainly happened 2-3 times recently. You'd think with all the money they have they might invest in a roof.

Ah, but we don't want one of those Ruthie, especially if it's a Murray/Federer final. My nerves wouldn't take the strain lol. Seriously though, it did strike me as ironic last year, with all the rain they had to deal with at the USO. The rain at Wimbledon used to be a big talking point, and a fuss was made until they put a roof on Centre Court. However, in the North American stretch they don't even have court covers. It strikes me as very bizarre.

I thought that, after all the furore last year, they had decided to go to a Monday final come what may - have I misunderstood that?
