To change the subject, I wonder if any of you can offer any help & advice please ? My daughter has bought us 2 cheap tickets for Queens on Monday 6th June. We are hoping to see Andy play but the chances are very remote I know, but maybe we could see him practicing ? We have never been to Queens & don't know where the practice courts are ? I emailed the Queens club, a few weeks ago, for a map of the grounds, but they have not replied. So can anyone help please ? Also, I have just come out of hospital & rather weak, so I will need somewhere to rest & sit down, maybe like Henman hill ? Is there anything like that there please ?

Here's a link with info on Queen's club as well as a layout of the grounds.

Over 2/1 available on betfair from Troicki to finish off the moping Scottish whinger. It's as close to free money as you get in gambling.

The way to do Queen's is to wander down at about 5pm and pick up a centre court ticket for £5 - a few decent players still on at that time. Where you sit is random, but it's worth it! Last year, I finished work early, walked down there and paid £5 for a virtually courtside seat - saw Rafa and Andy - face value = £80! lol

That made the corporate/posh old farts bearable, but the first year I went they really wound me up.

Eh, didn't know there was resale at Queens! Will check it out in a few weeks! Very Happy

I never want to go for face value again, it's unbearable.

"... a barrage of tartan coloured thunderbolts pinned Troicki back" - if only this could be guaranteed for today!

Very strange match in which we saw all aspects of Murray and his game, good and bad.  Thankfully the ankle proved to be not much of a problem after all, although we can be forgiven for thinking in the first five games that this was going to significantly impede his movement and that Troicki would blow him off the court.

A great fight-back from 2 sets down, but as always Murray was his own worst enemy and made life difficult for himself (and misery for his fans) by going mentally AWOL in the 2nd instead of taking advantage of an opponent who was still recovering from his bemusement at the dramatic turn the match had taken in the previous set.

The momentum from an interrupted match usually favours the losing player, it all depends how he starts but I do take heart from the fact he came back from 5-0 down.
Hopefully Andy stays  heated up and Viktor has cooled down cmonandy

Thanks for the 'colourful' report Boogers! You got it down to a 'T'! Loved the headline too. Let's hope our boy is still 'ascending 'when he hits the court today! I spent most of the match shouting 'focus' or 'keep your cool' or 'you need an ace here Andy' at my pc, which isn't easy when your heart is in your mouth! It was obvious the ankle was a problem during that first set before the adernalin kicked in properly. Maybe that's what carried him through! That, coupled with the desire and determination to win! It did seem for a while that Mr. Magic and Mr. Tragic were taking it in turns. If the match had started an hour earlier, there's no doubt in my mind that Andy would have won hands down. Today, I'm worried! Unless he comes out with all guns blazing, he won't stand a chance! The other guy wants this just as badly as Andy, and today, there won't be the luxury of a set to 'warm up'! I'm also worried that the ankle will play up more today after it's strenuous workout last night! We can only wait and see!

I feel that Andy will win this match, because he has been in this position before and I think he is determined to win, also Victor is serving first and he'll be nervous so that gives an advantage to Andy.Andy knows what he has to do, so go Andy.

You know Michelle, I was thinking about Victor serving first and that Andy needs to pounce!  Nothing to lose.

Anyway, I'll be up at midnight in the hope that this will be on tv - that will mean I'll have been up 20 hours yawn when they come on court.

I thought Andy was going to rip his shorts off at one point, he looked like he was trying to rip the leg off.  w00t  I'm hoping Darren Cahill will have a word with him and try and focus his mind before todays match, if he can come out and break in the first game I think that will be enough to keep him calm for the rest of the match, I do think he really wants this so badly that his frustation is his down fall when things start going badly.  Please let the calm focused Andy be on the court today.  C'mon the boy.  yay

Good point re the serve Michelle.  Here's my glass half-empty and half-full assessment:
Half-empty: according to both the Guardian and Indie correspondents the ankle was more of a problem than it might have appeared and that many on MW acknowledged.  So it could well be worse this morning after the match.  And, in the middle of the night, I remembered that we were in this territory about a year ago at Queens when Mardy Fish got play stopped when Andy had regained the momentum and then went on to win the next morning.
Half-full: Andy will remember that too and will psyche himself up to make sure it doesn't happen again esp as the stakes are much higher today.  And Troicki's confidence will have been badly dented, having let a 2 set + a break slip.  Unlike DC final he won't have a stadium full of Serbs to cheer him on.  Yesterday I sensed the crowd was more behind Andy.
Either way, one positive we can take from this is that Andy is still prepared really to fight his way out of a bad place, which hasn't always been the case in recent times.

I don't think Darran Cahill can intervene - I read somewhere the VT is an addidas player so therefore the coaches from adidas cannot get involved I think !!!!   I really hope that ankle holds up and I hope he gets on that court and warms it up in plenty time.  He only has one set to do this and cannot afford any lapses.  Lets hope VT tightens up.  Was reading on Neil Harman (Times) twitter that he was sat in the stadium behind a crowd of Serbians who were going on about how VT could take Chela out in the next round for a trip to the Semi's maybe someone should tell Andy that and get him fired up even more.

You're right about Cahill and all the Adidas coaches MM.  Indeed Andy and Troicki wear almost identical kit which can be abit confusing at times!

I didn't realise VT was an adidas player, but surely someone can have a word with him even if Darren can't, just to get his mind set straight, although I'm pretty sure Andy knows what he has to do and he has quite often come out firing on all cylinders and taken the first break, it's only one set so I'm sure he can keep his focus for that long.  cmon yeah

Sounds good to me - perhaps some more food poisoning?
Hand on in there Bev - we need you the other side of the world.
Kitkat: noone from the Adidas camp can talk to Andy I'm sure but I'm sure he knows what to do (and his camp will be able to advise too) - it's just whether he'll be physically and mentally there to do it.
