On 6th July my husband and I left for Cornwall.  On the Sunday we spent the morning in beautiful St Mawes and then went back to our holiday cottage annexe (a stone barn conversion) to watch the final.  I warned the owners that they may hear shouting and swearing.  Thank goodness Andy won and we were able to enjoy an amazing fortnight.  Whilst in Mevagissey on Friday I even bought a framed copy of a signed photo of Andy holding the Wimbledon trophy for £15.  Yesterday when I showed it to my 30-year old son and I gave it a kiss (for a laugh), he nearly threw up <g>  If Andy never wins another tournament, I won't be bothered.

I will, i don't want him to become the next Lleyton Hewitt, he is way too talented for that.

a friend of mine who isn't into tennis at all watched the final in China with Chinese commentary (an advantage I'm sure over Castle  Whistle) as she was on holiday there.  She emailed me that even she thought it was absolutely amazing.  And my pilates teacher, who  had got bored with tennis during the Sampras era, said how impressed she was.  Having watched the SF she decided to watch the final as Andy was so good. She also said how impressed she was with Andy and Nole's core stability but that JJ lacked it and needed to develop it, if he wasn't to be prone to injury.
