No I saw that but I was only responding to the earlier comments re the use of the word shambled, overall I think the report is very fair, difficult match to play given the scenario, he got the job done to be able to go onwards and upwards.  Your use of capital letters would indicate you are angry with my comment so apologies if I irritated with my post.

I never thought of that, but you could be right Tom! Andy did ask the umpire to confirm that he was through, just before the start of the second set! In fact he asked him twice!   Think

I completely agree and the post-match interview hinted at that too.  Had the match ended within an hour an exhibition match would have had to be played to satisfy the crowd.  I think Andy deliberately protracted the match, knowing he could end it as soon as he wanted to, without the need for a deciding set.

We'll see a very different approach against Federrer.

By the way Boogers that was a very well written report, enjoyed reading it. I too thought that Andy backed off in the second set to give Tsonga a chance and to satisfy the crowd, but when he needed to went up a gear in the tie breaker.

This match WASN'T on the BBC?

Let me get this straight. They schedule his two earlier matches for the afternoon when everyone's at work. Then his crucial final qualification match is held on primetime Friday evening and they don't even show it at all?!

Gotta love the BBC.
