Andy practices more in bad conditions and prepares better for these kind of situations, it's part of the game you need to be aware of and it's a tennis skill like any other. He can say if he wants that Andy only won because he adjusts to the wind better but then that is a credit to Andy for being a more well-rounded player.

Definitely top of my seriously dislike list now.  He's far worse than Federer, who at least does say something, even if it is a back-handed compliment, about his opponents.

Federer was shanking nicey in fairly still conditions, let alone winds like that. Fed at his peak would win and deal with it but i doubt he would now. He's the greatest indoor player for a reason, he plays best when the elements are under control.

I thought I had clarified where I was coming from? I am reading other forums where people are claiming that Federer would have won the match today had he beaten Berdy the other night. It's just my right to speculate something similar?

Teejay I understand what you are saying but the fact that Andy has that sportsmanship is one of his greatest attributes. The fact that Berdych was  so graceless and Andy so sporting seperates them as people as well as athletes and at the end of the day if Andy continues to be himself then that is what he will be remembered for equally with all the Grand slams he will win. No one really likes Berdych anyway for the way he acts , well maybe his mum.

I got very annoyed with the Eurosport comms who kept reminding us that Federer had played Agassi in the USO final in 2005, and won, despite conditions being, so they said, even windier than they were today.  Quite frankly I failed to see the relevance of that to this match.  It seems to me these Fed worshippers have to drag his name into everything.  It's pathetic.

Honestly, do you prefere to play against Ferrer and keep inside scary feeling about an incredible loss or prefere to play against Djokovic and go into the match thinking: "Ok, i am a little underdog in this final"?

I always prefer Andy to be underdog, but in the situation where youre trying to win your first slam you'd rather play a 0-time GS champion or finalist even than a 5-time Gs champion. so i'd choose Ferrer the pressure would be big as he would be a strong favorite...however were hoping Andy is mature enough now to deal with this.

And Agassi was what? Almost 35 years old? Pure worshiping indeed.
