Sorry to pour water on the injury excuse brigade, but didn't Murray say that the elbow injury caused problems only when hitting the serve?

His forehand has always been technically weaker than his backhand, and there's not really a lot of evidence for real improvement in that shot over the course of his career.

Bellucci beaten by Djokovic 2 sets to 1. Very hard game but Nole overcame Bellucci in the third set 6-1
This guy is great for two sets but ran out of steam in the end. He also had a groin injury which did not
help. Nole got better as the game went on and won the third set easily.
I don't think after seeing Bellucci beating Berdych that Andy was not too bad. This guy has a great forehand
and could do well in the future.

I agree that Bellucci is red hot on clay, but the fact is that Djokovic showed us why he's No.2 because he managed to turn the match around in the 2nd set, having lost the first 6-4, and this, quite frankly, is what Murray should have done, and may well have succeeded in doing had it not been for the elbow problem, which, incidentally, is NOT a lame excuse.   I've just been listening to a Rome interview and Murray is saying that he's been having to gradually build up the strength in his arm - and how often do I have to spell it out on MW that tendinitis is not something for which there's a quick fix!

To be honest Andy didn't play good at all, but we have to admit the fact that Bellucci played very good. He was throwing granades out of his forehand all the week. Dokovic didn't have an easy job either. Disappointment performance from Andy? Yeas, but could always get worse, remember last two hardcourt masters. Wink

I'm new to the forum, please excusemy bad English, especially my spelling, I'm giving my best(isn't good Very Happy).
Is there a thread about visiting some tournaments, about ticket prices, forum member expirience etc?

Totally agree with you Aileen aswell as iamabritt, when an individual over hypes themself  in any given situation, nine times out of ten, its not how they really feel internally - the term used for this type of behaviour is "misplaced belief". Like you and I both mentioned, it appears that Andy is trying to convince himself that all is well. When infact it is far from well. If he is still feeling the effects of his injured elbow then he should rest it completely and if that means missing Rome and potentially RG then so be it. He will have more chances. And as for the lack of motivation, this will return when Andy starts being 100% honest with himself and chooses to portray himself in the best possible light.
I know Aileen and I often agree PT but we are different people!!! A case of mistaken identity?   Whistle
It's clear that Andy isn't going to rest the elbow completely so let's just hope that with physio he is building it up ok and it won't have a long term detrimental effect.

Hi What, welcome to the forum. Not sure what your first language is but your English seems pretty good to me and you certainly shouldn't take spelling lessons from some of the MW members!   I don't think there's a thread about visiting tournos and ticket prices but you could try asking on the questions and answers thread.  We tend to have threads on separate tournaments - sometimes well in advance such as whether or not we've managed to get Wimbledon tickets.  So scroll down and see what you can find.

what u can always google the tournament official site directly. Info about prices/availability is there. You have to do it well in advance for the most popular though. Smile

Yes, I thought that ware the procedure for the tickets. Was thinking aout a thread ware forum members would exchange expiriences from tournaments, like acomodation options, prices, "must see" places etc, because I never went to Rome/Madrid/Paris, but I'm planning it for next year. Would be helpful, but fun to read about those things. Thanks for the warm welcome. yay
