Lets all face up to things, nobody in the world ever would have beat fed today! he was on another planet....

Andys serve was a little shakey at times, i think if it was a 2nd/3rd round match he would have done him but being the 2nd slam final after a mauling at the "US" he was always gonna be alot more nervous

I hope he finds a way to win his 1st slam soon as then they will come thick and fast(in my opinion)

He is a top talent and amazing to watch.

come on Mr Murray!!! nervous nervous lets get it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe not the french but back on the grass?/ or at least US

great watch all tourny though, enjoyed it!

I think there's a very real possibility of a Murray-Federer final at Wimbledon this year, assuming the two of them are the top 2 seeds. Think

One great thing about Murray reaching the finals of the AO is how, thanks to BBC coverage, Britain have been interested in tennis away from Wimbledon for once Smile

great write up at the top except the headline..murray wasn't 'crushed' by fed today..he had a poor 10/15 minute spell at the end of the first set and early in the second and was always in the match. federers serve won him the match and even though fed served like a dream andy still scored a fair amount of points on ego-mans serve. a great effort from andy, and as for federer winning a calendar slam..NO CHANCE!!!!

I agree with your FO prediction. Pony was looking very handy on the clay last year.

You could have it right there. I definitely think he's got one of those two in the bag. Injury dependant of course. You can't plan for what happened to his wrist at the US open last year.

F**k off, Federer was all over the shop last year, very OTT. Andy did his best to hold it together, Federer in both cases was 'me, me, me'. He completely detracted from Nadal's victory last year and showed very little compassion for Andy this time around.
BOO Hoo!!! That's the story dude can't have it both ways......If it was Roger stealing the moment last year it is Andy doing the same this year! Anybody notice Roger just won his 16th  (In three sets!!!) and Andy is still a wanna be? So it's YOU who gets bent A.H.!!

I don't think the tears of a multiple Slam champion who happened to lose one, can be compared with those of an up and coming youngster going for his first Slam for the second time.  Totally different scenarios.
That "one" happened to be for the record. Not "just" another one. It was a great match....unlike the one today....Today was just another day at the office for Roger. He could even nap a bit in the third.

i hope your right
it'd be great if murray won wimbledon!

Gotta mark down these predictions.....I don't want to forget who to get back to later on........Still dreaming!!!!

Hi, I'm new here.  Love the Forum! Just wanted to point out that Andy has actually got a better record in Slams at the start of his sixth year as a pro than Fed had at the same stage( two finals, a semi-final and two quarters versus two quarter finals) despite the fact that Andy is a year older than Fed was. Fed also didn't have to worry about the pressure from a 74 year drought in men's tennis or play against the greatest player ever on a regular basis, either. So while I am sad for Andy losing, I still feel he has done really well to get this far. Go Andy!

I'd love it if your prediction was true!!! Even the Del Pony part I mean he's a great player to watch similar with Donkey and Soderling (but these 2 dont have the pedigree) I'd rather him win RG than Fed seeing as Rafa is unlikely to be healthy again, but if he is I'd love him too reclaim his crown.
Not writing Murray off for RG either I mean here he will feel zero pressure on his worst surface in a tournament not in the UK. His game is very suited to clay imo; only thing to work on would be movement.
