Hi all!..... new to this msg board. Been a Murray fan since watching him in US open jnr final. IMO Murray's performance last night Vs Raonic was the best i have ever seen him play... it was better than his olympic winning performance. Finally full match focus from andy....To me he finally looked like a player who...if he continues to play at that level will be world no.1 by end of year and holder of a slam. The signs for him were there for all to see at olympic final but since playing Lopez (who played out of his skin) ...he's definately gone up a level. Similar to the improvement seen in Djokovic when he began to achieve his run of success. Fed & Djok will have to play the best tennis they ever have to beat him... on that form. Keep it up Muzza...you definately got what it takes! BTW..... my username ABF = Anyone but Federer  |

Well I guess Andy "adapted" well to the Raonic game then! Lol. Couldnt watch live but didnt sleep well dreamt Andy lost for a start and kept waking up. Was so relieved to wake up and see the great score. Have watched the replay of the first couple of sets and there was some awesome passing shots from Andy and fantastic serving. Just watched the Raonic post match press conference and he was far more humble. Just kept saying he tried everything and it kept coming back and Andy played tennis he'd never encountered before. Andy was very complimentary of his opponent as always and seems confident. Bring on Cilic.  Had the same dream Tessie and it woke me up. But as it was still very early I'd assumed they were still playing so tried unsuccessfully to go back to sleep before listening to 5 live sports report to find out what the outcome was. |

Just watched the match on Eurosport who for once showed the whole. It was breathtaking. My OH kept gasping everytime Andy hit one those incredible shots. He seems to building up nicely. My eldest also kept quiet after arguing with me re: Lopez match.

Did you get watch it live Bev?
 middle of the working day for me. Couldn't have livescores on as we have been having probs with our computers but Aileen kept sending me updates on email. Saw most of the match when I got home - just a couple if times when they went to the womans doubles match. Nearly missed the lob that Andy ran back for because of that but they did a reply of the point and saw it then. |

Finally got to see the match after being out of Sky range last night. What a performance. Think I heard the commentators mention that Raonic's father was a nuclear scientist, but it was Andy who demonstrated how to dismantle an atomic bomb the way he neutralised that serve!  |
