If Rafa lost to Hewitt, then I think even if he plays, he won't make the SFs. (Yes, I know it's an exhibition, but still)
Yeah, it's not looking good for him. I'm still a little wary, though. A 50% Nadal seems a little too good to be true.

Gulbis and Dent are potential banana skins if they play well.
I
agree

I read that he, Rafa said, he would not play unless he was 100% fit ??

Gulbis is always a relatively tricky customer. Not as convinced about Dent - its been a while since he did anything of note. In saying that, if you're going to contend for a grand slam, the likes of Gulbis should be respected but then dismissed with relative ease.

Murray met Dent at Cinci and Queens back in 2005, when Dent was in the top 20 (or close to being in the top 20). Murray won both times. You'd expect Murray to win with ease in 2009...

Holly sh*t, this is a pretty good draw. Yes there are some potential bannana skins but this could have been a lot , lot worse.
Feds side of the draw looks pretty tough to get through. Lets hope that winging arsepiece goes out before a semi or quarter final ball is even hit.
I also think that Nadal will play, or at least say that he will try his best to make every match.

Agree with all the above - as good a draw as Andy could hope for, and the interview on Wednesday confirmed his increased focus and mental strength since last year.
Very exciting!

Very nice draw - I'm not bothered by Gulbis as he hasn't done much that I can think of in the last year, Andy should be far too clever and experienced for him. Same goes for Dent, I just can't see him troubling Andy across 5 sets.
Wawrinka/Safin is where it starts to get trickier, but it would be a big surprise if Andy were to fall there.
Glad to see Simon in his quarter, that's the nicest one of 5-8 that he could have got. Gonzo could well be there instead though, in which case I'd be a little worried because of the French but it's a totally different situation on grass.
Nadal or Roddick in the semis and I would expect Nadal not to be there given his last few weeks. I'm very confident of a final appearance for Andy here...

Does Murray being in this half of the draw mean that he will play first, ie before feds side, I always think that this in itself is an advantage as the tourney comes to its final stages, although perhaps not as much in GS format

Yes, he'll be Monday-Wednesday-Friday!
And he'll be on centre court for all of his matches presumably, so there'll be little to no rain delays this year.
