I just want to say as a long term Andy fan that I thought he played a great match today. I couldn't watch it live and I already knew that he had lost 3-0 when I watched the replay. What I wasn't prepared for was what a high standard of straight sets loss it was. Just like last year but even more so, the clay court swing has provided Andy with a chance to lock on to a consistent ball strike and just like last year I believe this will allow him to have a chance at some titles in the next few months. His behaviour was good today as has been noted, especially as in this particular match he had a high number of shots that just missed the line, but, and it's a big but, at least he was going for the lines!
Allez Andy!

Good lad, glad Andy said in his post-match presser that his attitude was a lot better today than it was for the first few matches of the tournament. Keep that up at Wimbledon and it could be big...

Welcome newbie. Yes his attitude was better. Even Wilander had to mention and praise him for that.

Q. Could you talk a little bit about Murray and how difficult he is to play on this surface and every surface and how he is improving as a player, do you think?
RAFAEL NADAL: You know, I always liked a lot Andy like a player, like a person. So, you know, every time that I beat him in these kind of matches, I feel sad for him, because he deserve to win a Grand Slam for sure. In my opinion he gonna do it. I still believe that he gonna do it, for sure, because his level and his talent is fantastic. Remain a little bit of luck sometimes, but he's improving in every surface. I always said he's a very complete player, and he has the chance to play very well in all the surfaces. Clay is not an exception. He's doing better and better every year. He had a fantastic clay court season. Right now start grass for him. I think he's a good player on grass, and especially on hard later he will have very good chances to have a fantastic year.

Aileen Thanks for the video,i do so like Kheredine.Andy did seem pretty pleased with himself.
Kheredine really is excellent with Andy. He has the ability, so often lacking in other interviewers, to ask probing question with sensitivity, and the pair have built up a very good relationship over the last two years after Kheredine was given the remit of following Andy's career. He also has the added advantage of being an SPL football commentator and is, like Andy, a Hibs supporter - so plenty in common.

Thanks for the quote. Nadal is such a lovely person. Hope he swats Fed aside on Sunday! Not at all unhappy by the way that Djoko's run has finally been broken - I think he was getting a bit too big for his boots.

That is now 6 Slam Semi Finals Murray has played in and still no trophy to show for his efforts (when will this agony end?).
He played well in a lot of Nadals service games until he came to the knockout blow of actually winning the game. Six break points in each set he only managed to take 2 out of 17 as there was a double fault by Nadal in the second set on the other one. He would have been happy to create 6 break point chances in each set before the match started.
It could very well be the same case in 4 weeks time, another semi where he doesn't quite rise to the occation.
12 consecutive sets lost to the top 3 in Slams, Nadal 6 Djokovic 3 and Federer 3. The the law of averages have to work in his favour soon though, don't they?
Overall it has been a good 8 weeks on clay. However, missed chances to get into a couple of finals.
