Djokovic is vulnerable to Tsonga too - he had to save at least four match points to get the job done yesterday.

I'm not sure Murray cares about ranking anymore - he just wants that elusive slam. Wonder if he'll break the SF-SF-SF streak at Wimbledon and hopefully post a W?

But then there's this guy called Andy Murray who has all of the above... maybe not all at the same time...and just won't quit.
And I ain't quittin' on him yet.

I feel more hopeful about his chances on grass.

Isn't it strange and somehow wonderful on the Monday after Roland Garros when you switch your TV on and the screen is suddenly all bright green and blue?

Andy's not downbeat about this loss and nor should we.

Let's face it, Rafa has his name written all over this title (practically).  Losing in a(nother) Grand Slam final would be a downer.

I'm looking forward to the grass season/hard courts.

Exactly!  If he was world no 400 and won a grand slam, we'd all be ecstatic!  Wouldn't getting to the final at Wimbledon be marvellous and then see what happens once he's there.

This is really shocking..... never really expected him to lose..just thought it would be a tough match but not an upset. shocking
Andy should have at;east come to the semis, continuing what he mostly did in the grandslams.

I actually feel if Andy faces Roger Federer in the semis, he has a great chance to defeat him..more than Rafa ofcourse. Andy's main obstruction is Rafa and Andy's game is not the game to beat Rafa.....and Murray having a winning record against Roger heps too.

No shame in losing to Ferrer on clay. Murray was close and had lots of opportunities. Maybe this is for the best as he can get in a little extra rest before prepping on grass.

Ugh. I'm tired and sick to death of Andy bashing. The people come on here and say I'm just not gonna not support him anymore. Just gonna watch the tennis general Play. Grab copy. You do that since. You are no longer a Murray fan anymore. Go be a Fed fan. You can get to f**k.  As for the non tennis fans. Get lost.   I will be supporting Andy all the way unlike some pitifall fans on here.  I'm so pissed off.  I wasn't angry that he lost or anything. I was annoyed at some ppls reactions after the match.   Andy played well at RG  to reach the QF stage  I am quite proud of him   yay

The rain break and the conditions certainly didn't help but when Andy isn't serving well, he loses to top 10 players. Against others he is skilful enough to win. I also think his huge number of UEs were, in part, a wish to be more attacking  with his forehand. which is what he needs to do if he is to win a slam.
I still think he will and  I so much admire his motivation to improve and keep trying.
If he had beaten Ferrer we all know Rafa would've killed him so am really looking on the bright side.
Keep trying Andy, you'll do it  yay
