Excellent report Hazel. Hard work for Andy but a good workout never the less. He played well and consistently with some superb shots, very enjoyable match.

Crazy, Murray was several classes above him, even if it had gone to a fifth set Murray would have still taken it. They should do something about this, at the end of the day he is bringing the oldest and most prestigious tournament into disrepute.

Andy has given a very diplomatic and astute reponse to the accusations.

Sad thing is that the anti Murray brigade will grab it with both hands and run with it and that will be a disgrace.

How did Andy respond, what did he say?

Murray was sympathetic towards Karlovic, but said it was an issue that could only be resolved by analysing television pictures.
"(It is) impossible for me to say whether they were foot-faults or not," he said.
"You can only look on the TV. And if he wasn't foot-faulting then he has a right to be upset, because there was a lot of them. But if he was, then you can't do it. It's not allowed.
"I can't really comment on it unless I see it. I don't know what they were saying on the TV. They must have had some pretty clear images of it."

Has anyone here had a closer look at this to see if they were valid foot faults?

This is easy to resolve by watching a replay. Happens all the time in football- goals/no goals etc.
They cannot all have been wrong. Some of the 11 must be true. Its awful if the officials have made poor judgements but its comparable to bad line calls that rely on human judgement. Human error cannot be eliminated- EVER.
Karlovic lost credibility when he said its the whole of Wimbledon conspiring against him, to give Andy advantage.
11 foot faults will not help Andy to get to the quarters, semi or final, let alone play a part in winning the championship.

First chance to say thanks for the great report Hazel. That was a scary, ugly match to watch.. but oor lad got it done, and that's all that matters.
Also... things have taken a bit of a turn since Nadal is no longer in the picture..

well done Andy, difficult match up against Dr Ivo, however Andy returned really well, and he coped well against a player who allows for no rhythm. Sour grapes from Karlovic in defeat, ridiculous to suggest bias towards Andy Murray.
