Oh this is terrible, see that's just a
naughty

I predict another semi-final at the least. We'll see how Rafa's feeling by then, but he'll no doubt step it up (as per).

Hmmm, who's better to have in a SF right now? I think Nadal going by current form.

The alternative was Djokovic, it's not even a debate.

The pdf version of the "Gentlemens" draw is now online. Not as clear as the usual atp format. It's at
http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/scores/draws/ms/msdraw.pdf
, but more compact

Well trying to look on the bright side: say Andy were able to achieve the greatness he showed against Roddick on Saturday at the tricky stages of the draw and then made a final against Fed and beat him. Wouldn't that be the very best way of winning Wimbledon? I know you might say I'm off in la la land but it's not impossible is it? And with Cahill's help this week (and hopefully some input from other Adidas coaches during the tournament itself when not against an Adidas player) then who knows.

All the seeds in Andy's quarter (except perhaps Bellucci but he's not rear Andy anyway) are dangerous on grass, especially if they're at their best or near to it.
Andy's going to have to play solidly and will have to avoid losing any focus or concentration.

This will be the first time he has not been scheduled to play on the first Saturday at Wimbledon. A potential late night Monday 4th round match with Gasquet or Wawrinka is on the cards again, great memories of those matches in 08 and 09.

I'm rather glad about the Saturday as I'm speaking at a conference -I did protest at the timing of it but to no avail!

His record with Gasquet is 2-2 and Wawrinka 5-4, so he will need to bring his A game.

with a tied record with Gasquet and a winning record against Wawrinka, I have faith that he can win his matches as long as he stays focused and doesn't let his emotions get in the way. However, if you know someone with magical powers...why not throw him out on the court in case he is needed. Andy did not get to be #4 by playing crappy tennis....keep the faith.

As Andy himself has said today its way to early to start talking about a Rafa semi. He needs to approach every game as though its a Rafa semi and bring his best game. He says he will be switched on for the first game. And we shouldnt be thinking about/worrying about Rafa either because as we all know anything can happen in tennis!

Absolutely, one match at a time, worrying doesn't change things, but as a fan, you can't help being nervous.
