Maybe Andy just realised there's more to life than tennis but he does keep contradicting himself. I think his tune might change if he doesn't win a Slam in the next two years. Anyway who's Greg to talk? OK he got to the final of the US Open in 1997, but that was it. Envy perhaps??

It kinda irks me when people drone on that Andy has to do better. Can we get a reality check here!!?? Britain (and or Scotland) will possibly never again have such a competitive tennis player. A player who can win any tournament he enters. I am determined to enjoy this ride - enjoy every moment of Andy's career. Wins or losses - I'm loving every day, every match, every result, every draw, every release of the rankings, every order of play, every ace, every tournament, and I'm loving tennis. I want Andy to be Andy, and I want him him to achieve. But he has nothing to prove to me!!

I would much rather Greg Rusedski be critical of Andy's game rather than being biased and supporting everything he does just because he's British.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Greg just saying everything that people say on the forums every day?! Andy is too passive, he'll never win a grandslam if he doesn't take the initiative... blah blah!
It's also ridiculous for people to suggest that Greg isn't qualified to be a tennis pundit on the basis of his playing career. Most pundits have had average careers. (On a football note..) Ruud Gullit is a horrendously bad pundit and he's one of the best players I've ever seen.
Robbie Koenig does the punditry on Bet365 and I think he's pretty damn good. He never got higher than 262 in the world!
Greg can say what he likes and so can Andy

Andy's game is quite unique in that his tactic (appears to be) a exploration of the tactical and physical caapacities of his oponetnt and himself ... Seen in that light, his matches are exciting and only frustrating if one constantly jusdges the game through the prism of 'winning'. Andy's game is far beyond that 'meagre' measure...and that's what makes him so unique.
Watching his 'tactical 'eplorations' privides a new dimension to the game ... the only deterrant to this style is to worry about what others think or to get caught himself in 'pressures to win'. So, enjoy your explorations Andy they are a delight to watch! And stay away from those who want to change your style.
