Hi Aileen and all,

I feel a bit stupid, I honestly didn't realise they camped outside his home as well. That's outrageous. When will they ever learn to give him space?

No need to feel stupid.  I just read it in an Andy interview before last year's Wimbledon.

The other thing I meant to say was that the thing that drove me to distraction before the final was people within tennis going on about what it would mean for British tennis if Andy won Wimbledon. Are these people for real? I mean, don't get me wrong, if seeing Andy playing and doing so well attracts kids into the game that has to be good, but I do get annoyed at how Andy is constantly expected to be some kind of figure-head for the game in Britain. Doesn't he have enough to do in trying to win majors?

Many of these air-heads haven't a clue what it's all about so just open their mouths and spout rubbish, although I suppose the only two British players who ever got to Slam finals (once), Lloyd and Rusedski, do have some idea.  It's the foreigners like McEnroe and Becker who really get up my nose.  They may have won multiple GSs but they should keep their noses out of British tennis and get off Andy's back.

I heard that his Gran and Grandad move out of their home in Dunblane during Wimbledon due to the media, it is really bad if this is the case.

I could well imagine it, but don't they come to Wimbledon anyway?  Or maybe that's why they do come?
 

Coverage of the tournament gets underway on the BBC Olympics 4 channel at 12 o'clock for Centre Court and BBC Olympics 5 channel for Court 1.  Channel 20 for the outside courts at 11:30 according to my 7 day TV guide.  This is for Saturday.

I've retuned my TV as per the BBC's advice, so hope everything functions OK.

I've got my flags up at work!  Apparently it's war, they're going to get their Kiwi flags out  I'm the only Brit on this floor.

I have a small flag in my pen holder, my mug, my coaster is a London teapot stand, a London pen, my UK fridge magnets and my union flag on my notice board.

The draw only comes out today (Thursday).  Keep an eye on MW for scheduling.  Don't know about Sky as I don't have it.

Where do I find out how to do that Aileen?

Before I re-tuned mine I kept getting a message on BBC1 that told me how to do it.  You can also go to http://www.tvretune.co.uk/ where you'll get step-by-step instructions by selecting the option "How do I re-tune?".   However, re-tuning only applies to Freeview viewers, and if you have satellite or cable you do not need to re-tune.

I hope everyone manages to see the Olympic tennis. I like this idea of the extra channels, even if it took me until last night to find the things

I'm not sure if I'm  or  for Andy but hope to be .

Personally I think he should do  to Smugfed whenever he gets chance. I'd 

 

It's okay, I just realised I've done a lot of posts and haven't used a smiley in any of them so I thought I'd go mad and use a lot at once.

Wondered what was with all the smileys!  Totally agree with the Smugfed ones.

I can't find ANY of the BBC channels - just told on channel 302 that they'll be on the red button during the Olympics ...

They think I'm mad anyway!   I'd be surprised if they actually bring any flags in, they were a bit meh during the rugby world cup.
