Andy Murray will attempt to win his first match since the Australian Open final at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

Murray’s draw sees him set to play Victor Hanescu of Romania or a qualifier. Should Murray win he is seeded to play John Isner. A potential match against Verdasco, Davydenko or Garcia-Lopez waits in round 4 and the current on form player Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals.

Murray’s potential path to the semi-final:

R1 > Bye
R2 > Hanescu/Q
R3 > Isner/Andreev/Giraldo
R4 > Verdasco/Garcia-Lopez/Davydenko (expected)
QF > Djokovic (expected)

The full draw

Murray and Djokovic are expected to team up for the doubles event, with the draw being on Wednesday.

Hopefully he fancies resembling a Tennis player this week as the Djokovic bandwagon needs crushing.

IF and its a big if he makes it to the quarter finals with Novak on the form he is it would need a minor miricale for him to progress any further even if the Tennis player turns up.

Djokovic was erratic in Dubai and his form was tailing off at the end of IW especially so he's not the same player he was the AO. Aside from that, if Murray can beat Djokovic on a slow hard court when he's playing at his best it'll be in Miami where you can get at some of Djokovic's weaknesses because of it's relatively low bounce.

No idea how you can come to that conclusion.  Wishful thinking, I'd say.

He's had pretty good luck H2H against this guy Bye! Got a hand full of points to defend, so hope it's not too much pressure on the poor boy!

Just noticed Andy's latest tweet of 7 mins ago "Great practice today, really pumped, back on track"
Any comments anyone not sure what to make of it?

That's just being childish, Lurking.  I'm the one of the biggest Andy fans, but it doesn't stop me seeing what's as plain as the nose on my face.  Djokovic is streets ahead of Andy, right now, and it's a sad day, when we can't give other, better players the credit they deserve.  It's at best churlish, and at worst, mean and spiteful.

Nole played well last night but Rafa was not in great form. He seemed to go to pieces in the third set.
Maybe Nole's improvement in form will spur Andy on to do better
