Wow, just wow! 8 months ago, we were agonising over him winning challengers. I can't believe how far hes come.
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic. A heart-pounding, gut-wrenching match. Andy came of age tonight.

Its been a pleasure sharing it with you guys.

even better article from the beeb - Queen Judy quotes and (what I fear will become the infamous) 'kiss' Wink heehee Very Happy

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/4731634.stm

Quote
"I'm in Sheffield with my older son, Jamie, who's playing in a tournament and the hotel we're staying at didn't have coverage," she told BBC Five Live.

"But we woke up early this morning, we've seen some clips on the news and we had about 20 texts on the phone waiting for us."

You mean we stayed up to watch it and Jamie and Judy didn't? Oh dear....

I've got to say - what a match that was last night. My heart was totally pounding throughout (literally). Glad I stayed up to watch although I would have preferred a few beers to calm the old nerves (work on a Monday morning sucks Surprised) )

From SkySports.

Quote
He said: "This is perfect. I played solid all week. It's been the best week of my life.

"In the tiebreak, I decided not to come off the court saying I could have gone for a bit more and with regrets, so in a few points, I went for some big shots and it paid off."

Murray now goes to the event in Memphis with the chance of becoming British number one for the first time.
