One of the toughest wins of Andy's career. Many congratulations!

Good sense of humour Nigel... "Meanders", yeah sure he did.  roflmao

What can one say about that match? Surely its defies description?

It may not have been a skilful match, but it was thrilling and entertaining in turns.

For the first time ever in such an important match, though, I always had faith that he would pull through.

I don't get this 'how did he win'.  It's what great players do - they don't necessarily trounce opponents, but they find a way to win, through sheer inner strength and fortitude.  Great win for Murray.

Great match report Nigel as always.  What a weird and compelling match.  Andy won by sheer guts and determination,.  As he himself said he wouldn't have done a couple of years ago. Couldn't help but feel sorry for Ferrer  - well not THAT sorry.
Sign of a real champion to win a major when playing far from best.  Onwards and upwards Andy   yay yay yay [can't compete with adb on emoticons -wonderful display!]

Winning Ugly at it's finest. Nice to be 2nd in the world, but he's going to need to find some serious form to be any sort of a challenge to Djokovic, Ferrer and Nadal during the clay swing.

good for you td because I have to admit that when he lost serve the last time I thought that was it.
Oh boogers you had to bring your ray of sunshine to the party. Can't we wait a day at least before getting gloomy about clay court season and enjoy what you rightly call 'winning ugly at its finest'  w00t

Did you know Miami is slower than Roland Garros? Friggin' ridiculous.

Yeah it's pretty easy to tell, it's a joke my friend. It's funny, the common myth from Andy haters is that he strives on slow courts, but these ******* courts are awful for him.

He used to do pretty well back when he was an ultra-counterpuncher. Now that he's adopting a more agressive game it doesn't work so well.

Game will probably suit clay more now.
