Sir P. It was a delight to read your report, so many thanks. The great moments of brilliance were captured from both sides and the shakey ones too! Fair to both guys, I thought.

Now, do the same with the Dutchman!

Agreed with what Overend said. So good to see Andy going for his forehand Smile
Really hope these "tweaks" are whole tournament strategies, they will serve (sorry Wink him well.
BTW  Yoda is very pleased Andy is following his advice....now studying for Jedi Master Coach level 12.....

Super report, Andrew, and a very entertaining match - great to watch especially after the first set tb. It was tremendous to see Andy in this aggressive and masterful mood - long may it last.

Amused to see him so soon after his match tweeting about Arsenal transfers.  As he often says, there's more to his life than tennis.

A terrific start Andy, really impressive..looking so relaxed and the way he was ripping his forehand was a joy to behold. I think this could be the one folks!!!!

Now a couple of shock exits for Wawrinka and Del Potro would be nice, especially after Soderling pulling out. In saying that if Andy plays with the same confidence as he did last night then he shouldn't fear anyone.  cmon yeah

Impressive perfomance from murray but not letting myself get too excited this year until the second week, i remember him having a similar start against lacko last year. Digging the new threads!

Hi all, new member so be gentle  Smile

Glad that Andy won in straights to save energy. He seems to have added a pretty heavy forehand which is a good sign.

Welcome syn23. Nice to have another Newbie on board. And well done AM.

Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to what time Andy will be performing on Friday? Once again I am going for 2nd or 3rd, with heavy expectation on 3rd. This will be despite Apollo's efforts to have the USO's organisers play fair by Andy.

The late calls will almost certainly be in the hands of Roddick vs Sock or Gineri vs Isner; particularly as all four are Americans.

Thanks for the welcome guys  wave  I was on murray.com quite regularly (was a shame they closed it down), but always found this place
really informative for all things Andy.

Just re-watched the highlights proper and Andy mentioned that he wanted to go back to a flatter forehand which he used to deploy more in his
younger days. Hopefully he can make it all the way through to the final and bring that fierce FH and game from USO '08 SF form.
