Murray improves ranking & accepts wildcard

Or he has turned down any coach who has approached him.

I don't believe that any coach approached him formally. I suspect that the contacts may have been low key.

Once again, no further forward, other than possible rumoured casual assistance from Cahill. Cahill's help can only be short-term as he has already indicated that his commitments with Adidas would prevent his worldwide journeying with Andy.

He must get someone soon or the press will continue to slaughter him if results are poor. Andy must take a leap of faith in someone like Rashid , Hard worker and does not court the media.

He's never going to  take on a coach just to pacify the media though. He'll do it if he's sure it's right for him which as much as we hate it in the mean time, is the best thing to do Smile
I wonder how many decent options he actually has though...
We also forget that he's played some of his best tennis coachless (Australian Open, for example). He's more than able to coach himself in the technical parts of the game, and maybe the adidas coaches between them will give him the encouragement he needs to ge that back. If he has a coach that he has any doubt in, I think he'll end up worse off than he is now.

[/quote Technically he only has to tweak some little parts of the serve and forehand he can do that himself. What he needs is a coach who will embrace his unique game but give him the balls to look at players outside the top 50 and not get frustrated when they serve an ace past him but step in a little bit more towards the baseline and play a slightly more physical game on the front foot.

I hope we see a return to the old Andy in Monte Carlo. They need to make up a new word for how bad his serve was in Miami , his legs seemed to buckle after the ball toss. I hope this was a slight injury because if not I seriously think he did not want to be playing and had  thrown the towel in before the knock up.

I'm glad he's accepted this.  Shows there's life there yet.

Glad Andy is not rushing into getting a coach so that he can please everyone. He know what he wants, and will compromise if he has to go to were his coach is stationed. He wants to get it spot on as he wants a GS.
