Looks very much like a ferrer-murray semi-final is on the cards, who'd have thought it?

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Rafa has just gone down a set to David, although he's just broken David to go 2 -1 up and now serving, although i must say the sweats are back for Rafa - don't think he's fully recovered!!

mmmmmm, Rafa's just lost the second set!! he looks so out of sorts - Andy v. David looks surely on the cards, out of interest what is the head to head with these two players?

...but will search for better form before his semi-final with Rafael Nadal. Well unless Rafa comes back from 0-2,1-4 in third set its going to be Ferrer. Personally I think thats a lot better option.although he seems to be in great form

But Andy did lose his cool at that point, and although he managed to exercise some control over his feelings, his words were rather ripe! Thought for a moment the Beeb were going to issue another of their apologies, but they didn't.
It was a pity, because Andy had been very composed in this tournament until this match, although Dolgo must be so frustrating to play against. Anyway he's through to the semis, and that's what matters.

Oh must have missed that bit Aileen - those words he learnt from the Billy C tapes no doubt! Funnily enough the commentators on fivelive were also commending him for not losing it so perhaps they didn't hear either. But if a few ripe words help Andy get himself together then swear away as far as I'm concerned.
What's happened to Rafa? Can't believe Ferrer is beating him in straight sets (been following on live score while catching up with emails and stuff).
Drat now I'm having trouble with the quotes - must be sleep deprivation!

Don't know who the most dangerous player is a wounded Rafa or a bullish David - well we now know its going to be the Bullish David. I have every faith Andy's team will now reapraise his preparation for the up and coming semi - final. My prediction Andy in 5 tough sets
Dare we really start to dream........

Wow! Who'd athought it? Mustn't count our final chickens yet, David is a tough customer and a ferocious fighter, but at least Andy will know how to play him

Poor Rafa, but what a true sportsman he is. He should have retired at the start of the match, he knew after a few games he could not win, and that his injury had thwarted his Rafa Slam challenge. But rather than take care of himself, he took painkillers, got taped up, and came out and played until the inevitable conclusion, so that the 15,000 people who paid for tickets saw some action. I have to really applaud the guy for that. We may be Andy fans, but the game always comes first, and Rafa is a true tennis great.
Not sure whether facing Ferrer is an advantage or not, but thats how it is. Ferrer ran Andy ragged on the clay last year, but on hard courts Andy has beat him quite easily. The spaniard does seem to be playing really well though, and this is a very dangerous match for Andy. He needs to come out focused and get the job done.
Dolgo played really well in patches, better than I expected. He has some flashy shots, and if he could hold it together he would be walking away with the trophy at the end of sunday, but he lacks that resolve or consistency. He is a loose cannon, but fun to watch! Andy played poorly I thought, but he won and that is all that matters.

I agree in parts with your statement, however Andy was not allowed to play his normal game, because of Dolgopolov's unorthodox style. Yes perhaps Andy should have imposed himself more. Maybe he let the pressure of being the favourite get to him - reverted to his slightly passive style of play in Set 3, but testiment to his new inner strength he realised this type of play would not get the job done and promptly stepped it up. I am sure Andy knows he cannot give David such passive play. However, the tempo of their up and coming semi will suit Andy's game. unlike the tempo of his quarter final match. I see Andy returning to the style of play that he played in the earlier rounds.
Like Roger when he won the french open, Andy needs to realise that when Rafa is not in the final, its his for the taking - Andy has beaten all the players that lay in his path - but first the matter of David to take care of.........Good luck Andy we are all behind you. The Lion Roars

I think the injury that Rafa suffered today is linked to the virus he's been suffering, it does have an effect on the body because of sweating etc, and the white blood cell count. So I hope Rafa will have a good rest so that he can completely recover from his illness. He's such a great guy.
Hope we have an Andy v Federer final and that Andy can win, and that will make up for last year.
