Murray out-hypnotises Simon in Cincy

Slim.
Not sure you are right. Fish likes the hard hit returns when he hasn't got those he tends to struggle more. So I think Andy will have a good match plan and if he serves well then he can win.

my heart thinks that he has a  chance to win!
My mind is much more realistic and think it will be well to do better than it has been since the start of the tournament.
But Andy is unpredictable and waiting ....

Andy is improving and I am sure he will win tomorrow ( or at least I hope so!)

Fish is in the form of his life....but that can always mean a lapse !
Andy is improving steadily and is capable of playing the sort of tactics to throw him off course.

I think he just may do it....I do hope so

I watched both matches in the day session, and Fish was absolutely awesome. He hit with great depth off both wings, served absolute bombs (at clutch moments) and looked dangerous up at the net.

He's beaten Andy three times in the last 12 months, and he's a player high on confidence right now.

Andy hasn't set the heather alight with either of his matches this week. I'm hoping that means he is peaking at the right time because he will need to be alert and switched on from the very first point.

Excellent report, Nigel. I can't see Andy beating Fish but I would love it if this particular American ended up battered and fried.

As soon as Rafa got a look at Fish's second serve, Fish was in trouble. Andy's ROS and own serve will be key. He's also gotta be a lot more pro-active than he was against Gilles.  Fingers crossed

Yeah the return of serve will be very important, but I remember in their previous meetings Andy was finding it very hard to read Fish's serve. Hopefully it will be different this time!

Hope Andy watched the Rafa v Fish match last night, or recorded it to watch later, so he knows how he has to play today.

Yep hope he watched it so he knows what not to do as well - Rafa was playing his tennis so far behind the baseline he was practically in the stands.  On a quick court like Cincinatti you can't rely on defensive tennis alone, especially against an aggressive player like Fish.

What chance Andy beating Fish in this form?

Next to zilch, but I trust I'm wrong

Still the half glass empty I see! I'm a glass half full and I'm placing my trust in Andy.

Scotsgeek - exactly where has Fish been in the other GS's this year - nowhere - Andy has to come out all guns blazing and batter the arrogant yank.  His behaviour at Queens last year was awful and unsporting against Andy - hope Andy remembers the last three defeats at Fish's hands and exacts the appropriate revenge.  Come on Andy take the Fish out .....
How right, M.M. a semi fishal interesting!!! Andy will make fish stew!! go Andy yay
