The Oz Open and USO can illuminate without covering (though I appreciate that the USO can't even cover anyway!), so it seems strange that Wimbledon would tie the lights in with the roof.

For the 10 million pounds it cost you would have thought they could have managd separate lights but then Wimby is supposed to be outdoor, daytime tourney and I suppose they wanted to keep it that way but I would have thought it would have made sense to have separate floodlights anyway. Still, ours not to reason why I suppose.

Isn't it something to do with the grass getting slippy when night falls and the dew comes down. Therefore the only way you can have night matches is if the roof stops that? Otherwise we'd have had floodlights years ago!

Oh, and I have a funny feeling I'm related to Hazel... confused

I didn't like the fact he complained but if the ball becomes slower than I suppose that's not good for Murray.

I guess it's also stemming from the massive frustration he was evidently feeling at his form. If I were him and I thought that having the roof closed had seriously affected my game, then I might also make a comment on it. It shouldn't have thrown him really, but if it did, I think it's fair enough to say something...

exactly eira , hes a pro player , Im sure he knows what hes talking about , and obviously he was right to some degree, Im sure TPTB listen even if they dont want to admit it.
