Some journalists are talking "Big 3" not "Big 4" Oh wouldn't it be lovely, if Andy overtook Fed in the rankings and made them eat their words  Fingers crossed

Or better still Fed goes tumbling down the rankings, having slipped on his own ego. And it remains the big 3 but Andy not Fed is the third [until that is he overtakes the others].  Dreaming maybe but tread not on my dreams.... yay

As I have stated on a previous thread, I have visions of Andy standing on the winner's podium in Montreal and subsequently, we shall all be in a flood of tears after the USO (namely tears of joy). I just feel that it will be this time.

I'm not too concerned about Cincinnati, so long as he does not fall to a lesser mortal.

Don't even go there OSS doh

En este momento..........Andy es el mejor  w00t in other words ..........Andy's the best  yay

I do feel that he has suddenly matured. Even his press conferences have been a wee bit of an "eye - opener" Confidence oooozzzzes.

No doubt in my mind that he is a different "being" from last year.... "HE BELIEVES" and so do I

As far as "The Big 3" are concerned, I would rather wait and see. Andy can and will prove that he has a rightful place in the No.3, 2, 1 spot

Can ANYONE HONESTLY say that the FED will still be at No3 at the end of this year  "Cloud CooKoo Land"

"Murray was charming, looked comfortable, and was extremely well-spoken."  I'm loving that!  Our boy has finally become a man. Smile

Thanks Sylvie, and for your assurance that Andy is so well received in Canada.

What nonsense.  Djoko, Nadal and Fed aren't exactly cheek by jowl in the rankings at the moment, so why is Murray being excluded especially as he's been never been ranked lower than No.4 for a little over two and a half years now.

Hi Aileen,

"so why is Murray being excluded especially as he's been never been ranked lower than No.4 for a little over two and a half years now."

I think I read somewhere, that their reasoning is that Andy is the only one of the four who has not won a Slam -- I have already read an article that read "the top 3 and Andy Murray"

Once again, let me remind all and sundry that Andy himself has said that his best years would be between the ages of 23 and 26. He is just 24. Therefore, we are looking towards two fantastic dream-like years for wir man.

That was in effect what the dreaded Barry Cowan said - that it would be disrespectful to bracket Andy with the top 3 because they are serial grand slam winners.  I can see the point but then there are a number of journos who do talk about the top 4 - I imagine in recognition of Andy's staying power in the top 4 and the gap between him and Soderling.  And after all it's the top 4 rankings that dictate the key seedings.
So good to hear the feedback from Montreal Sylvie.  I always liked Canada and the Canadians!  w00t
