The International Sky Sports report this morning went absolutly crazy about Andy's superior performance against T.R. yesterday.

It described the reaction friends & family had as they left Murray's box. Apparently they were highly animated and not a little wowed by his ability to finish off the big points against Robredo, who increased the pressure a lot in the last set.

yay   Makes my catch my breath and my heart flutter.  wub
Well it certainly says something if Andy could impress his family and friends!

Oh for goodness sake give it a rest. You've made your point over and over again. I think most of us know what Grabcopy meant and he made a perfectly valid statement.
Good posting!  I think we know now where everyone stands on this.

I'm glad someone said it. Thanks Michelle.

Do you agree that your wording could be interpreted otherwise or considered a "Tad" disrespectful leading to my original post. Andy Murray can be considered a lightweight in comparison to many past and present players and if he was described as such there would be an up rower on this forum. Is it too much to ask a similar level of respect be given to others?

Wonderful performance from Andy; wonderful match report from Nigel.  This performance deserved the hyperbole.   However I would give credit to Tommy (no pinball wizard he today) for sticking with Andy and not giving up in the 3rd set.
Had to go out at 5 all in final set but for once was confident that there wouldn't be any backsliding and a friend texted me the good news.
It was also great to see the crowd engaged and vocal - with the roof helping of course.
Like Michelle 'imperious' was the word that came to my mind.
It really does feel like Andy has reached a new level in his game and it is SO exciting so see it.

Only on MW could a match report thread be turned into a heated debate on semantics. Rolling Eyes

Great report as usual Nigel, although I don't know why it took me so long to get round to reading it!

Hugely enjoyable match even if the butterflies started going during the 3rd set.  My favourite moment though was hearing Andrew Castle say that Murray had just shown us what it takes to be a great player on grass. yay
