Is there something missing Deb as won't quite sure what the coach said and what you said, if you see what I mean?  confused
Glad you and Iris liked the article.  I suspect he doesn't know Andy like we all do!  Whistle

Just came across this in the New Statesman of all places.  A good and sometimes funny critique of all those who complain that Andy is grumpy etc though the final paragraph has a bit of a dig at the tears at DC and I don't think 'emotionally reclusive' is exactly fair.

Not sure where to put it as it's not a news story so have put it here as it does end with a reference to DC.  Have now finally watched both Andy's single matches which I'd recorded.  As I think you said Iris, it was indeed a treat.
Ha ha! That was brilliant Ruthie.........and I think the 'tears at the DC' comment was rather 'tongue in cheek' if you know what I mean! God, I can't wait for the tennis to start again........and to see Andy holding his first slam winner's trophy......Then I can look forward to seeing how he looks with that hunk of gold round his neck next year! cmon yeah

thanks Deb - like the positive thinking and Caz's too.  yay  Hope you slept later this morning.  w00t
Yes you're probably right about the tongue in cheek Caz and actually it was a dig against all those who say they struggle 'to warm to him'.  I posted another similar post from Mark Steel during Wimbledon.  Interesting isn't it how comedians have picked up on the way Andy is treated by the great British public, though I think Steel is a fan of Andy as he wrote a good and very funny piece about him a couple of years or so back during Wimbledon, which had a dig at middle England Tim Henman lovers if I remember correctly.

I have two tennis Olympic tickets for Sunday, 29/07/2012 from 12.00 - 20.00.

In the possibility that my wife is not able or does not wish to attend, who in MW was the first to say: "Me, me, me"? I want to put it in my diary for next year. For contact details we shall deal with later.

am i too late: me me me   pray

So sorry! When I first mentioned this about 3 weeks ago, someone put her name up. The problem is I did not make a note of the MW member concerned. If she does not come back to me, you will be next in line.

I see Andy is playing doubles with Jamie in Montreal.   Anyone know when they're doing the draw - is it tomorrow?

The problem with Andy playing doubles at a Masters event is that it could interfere with his singles concentration.

I believe that Andy is doing it firstly to help Jamie's doubles level and secondly to ensure that he will be picked for DC and the Olympics partnering his brother.
