Oh?  Why's that then?  Where did you read this?  Is there a link?  And who's "the well-known fount" ?  Smile

Sorry, guys, I omitted to convey that dreadful name: "Andrew Castle"

Hi all,
I found this interview a candid one re. the aftermath of  Andy's Aussie Open experience and also a revealing one re. Andy's thoughts on playing at Wimbledon this year and his upcoming match with Gasquet.  I hope I am not the last one of us to have read it!

Thanks Tom.........I certainly hadn't read it till now! Having seen both matches, I can relate to what he's saying entirely! If he plays as well as we know he can, I think he'll do it tomorrow........I really do! His mindset is in the right place!

" I think what happened after Australia - how I was feeling and what was happening on the court and what my mentality was like in practice - I just know I never want that to happen to me again. You need to try and enjoy yourself and be as relaxed as possible in these situations when you are competing for grand slams."

Could this be what the trick-shots are all about?

You could be right, though I thought the first one was a spur of the moment thing! I do hope he's not going to do them too often as it would only be a matter of time till he got egg on his face!

Phew that match took a few months off my life so lord knows what tomorrow's will do.  Glad to hear that the  'come on Tims' were shouted down.  If I was there I would certainly tell the idiots to shut up.
Johnny Mac is already lobbying live on air to keep Sue B .  Not Andrew Castle - he'd be awful.  doh realise I've just stated the obvious!

I really hope that the crowd get behind Andy tommorow - and if the "come on Tim" brigade start that they are shouted down and drowned out by the "come on Andy" brigade.  The crowd (with the exception of the few "Timmies") seemed to be 100% behind Andy on Friday and that seemed to spur him on big time let's hope they can do the same tommorow as I beleive that could get to Reeeechard !!!!
