I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Watching Lendl-Wilander 88 USO final. Jeez, tennis has come a long way. Every point was identical.

They are currently showing Djoko vs Ferrer match on ESPN for me but I'm off to get showered and dressed ready for my coffee and cake in about an hour and a half.  Oh, the sun is out and the sky is blue shades
Good for you Bev - enjoy! The rest of us just keep going back & forth to MW!
Personally, I seem to be getting nowhere with my other ideas for the day!

I think his knee problems relate to an ongoing issue in his foot. When he was 19, doctors discovered a rare congenital bone problem in the bridge of his left foot. They told him to pack in tennis and he nearly took up pro golf. Then Nike made some specially adapted shoes. But I think that compensating for the foot injury has led to knee problems.
That was more than I knew.  I'm afraid he is wearing himself out too soon. His hands even, always seem worn to bits!

I wouldn't be too sure. I've heard some amazing rumours. Incredible if they're true.

Andy sounding disappointed as well:

"Every time you play against one of the top guys in the world, it's always a good opportunity to see exactly where your game's at," said Murray. "I have been working with Ivan now for a couple of months. We worked on a lot of things, certain tactics and stuff that would work against Rafa, Novak, and Roger. It would have been, for me, nice to see whether or not those things were working."

This is the second time this tournament Murray has received a walkover, after Canadian Milos Raonic pulled out of their third-round match with a right ankle injury.

"I have done a lot of practicing, a lot of hitting balls this week, but not a lot of match play," Murray said. "It's been quite a strange week. Hopefully the final, whoever it is, is going to be fit and well and we can have a good match."

"I guess the one benefit here is that there is a day in between, so I'll have tomorrow to practice with righties," said Murray. "The last of couple days I have been hitting with lefties. I practiced for [30 to] 40 minutes with Paes and Stepanek just to get used to playing righties again."

Feel really sorry for Andy.  So very frustrating for him. Frown  Practising is fine but it's no substitute for actually playing matches, especially against tough opponents.

Stop being so mysterious Nigel!  This smacks of your "people in high places" on the Emperor Fed thread. Smile

OK - Andy could skip MC as it's not an obligatory 1000 and play Houston and then Barcelona ...  or is he perhaps planning to play all three?  That really would be amazing!

It's Monte that's is depicted as being next up on the AM website, therefore that must be (have been) the intention.

Sorry, I was really tweaking Nigel's leg a little with that post.  Andy has said he'll be staying in Florida to train with Lendl (which is why he's not playing in the Davis Cup) and am.com have MC down as his next tournament, so until anything is heard to the contrary straight from the horses mouth, then this is what I'll continue to believe.
