Andy Murray received a walkover into the last 16 of the Miami Masters after Milos Raonic pulled out of their third-round clash with an ankle injury.
Murray will now meet Gilles Simon or Jurgen Melzer in the fourth round.

Hmmm, would preferred a potentially tough workout and some court time, but I'll take it. The ******* Federer gets enough of these.

Really disappointed as I expect both players are. However Raonic was never going to be easy, although I'm sure Andy's experience would have got him through in the end, but at the moment I think I'd prefer to have seen him play Raonic with a few more matches under his belt.

Would like to see Andy play Simon next as it always ends in Andy's favour

^Andy tends to find Simon simple where as Simon says... he disagrees.

Too bad was looking forward to it. Still, as aforementioned we are often saying "lucky so & so" about Federer, so .... I expect Andy & Lendl team have worked out some good alternate activity to keep Andy in shape or rested up whatever is necessary. Roll on Tuesday then.

"Homeland" for me. Am inclined to agree with Joe, as Andy is short of match play. BTW Meltzer had a melt down and lost even though Gilles had some sort of back injury. Funny if Andy had another walk over...

Intriguing how this difficult draw has opened up though.

Andy will hit the practice courts extra hard so he's ready for Simon. It's too bad as I think it would've been a good match for Andy, working on the return, variety, patience. But he knows what to do.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

Agree would have been better had Andy had a match but still had Raonic not been injured it could have been a v tricky one and so relieved in a way and he'll probably do some practice games to make up for it. Can't watch Tuesday - sorry to miss as Andy/Gilles matches are usually fun to watch. Hoping it will happen though and Andy will come through ok and will be able to catch him at end of week. The good news is that Berdy is out - coz don't like him, like what I saw of his opponent and he's not waiting for Andy down the line now - though after Dubai don't think he's the threat he used to be to our Andy, Have to admit am rather enjoying a stress-free evening watching tennis. Now back to jwt who looks like he's gone to a fancy dress party as a tomato.
