Great Britain's Davis Cup skipper Jeremy Bates says he will leave Andy Murray to decide whether he will take on Serbia & Montenegro this weekend.
I will leave the decision to him. We are doing everything we can so he will be involved in Glasgow.
Murray's blood tests showed his illness to be a severe bacterial infection but Bates said the 18-year-old was fighting it off.
His team captain said:
It's a question of how quickly he recovers. It's harder with illness than injury
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise he hasn't played a lot of tennis and the issues will revolve around how he feels, his energy levels and his capability to play five sets on Friday.
