Hey, my daughter (7) and son (6) think the English they learned in Scotland is a different language than my "American"!!! They are on their third language now! Really amazes me how they can do it so quickly.

Well, they're right about the English spoken in GB, and in particular Scotland, is different from American English.  We, being the originators definitely speak it better here .. Smile

At 7 & 6 - definitely the best age to pick up languages .... I'm assuming French is their third language?  But maybe not ...

No, French is their first, English second, now Portuguese. Actually they did the first two simultaneously. After we moved to Abedeen, of course they used English in school there.
I don't know about speaking it "better" though?????? Different that's for sure!
