If he had given Stefanki the respect Stefanki's due, he would have been set by now and possibly this conversation wouldn't be taking place - unless he had spent a lot of time yelling at Stefanki in which case we'd all still be having this conversation ... lol

What happened with Murray and Stefanki?

This isn't really news, as the Adidas coaches have always been available to him.
Yes, but in the past Murray has seemed reluctant to use them.

I truly do not understand the attitude of some people on this forum.  So Andy's again looking for a new coach, but at least he's now actually prepared to do SOMETHING POSITIVE to fill the gap ... I give up - he's damned if does and damned if he doesn't! Rolling Eyes

Despite not having a coach yet I thought his video with the BBC was still very positive.

Stefanki is a waste of space. He's an egomaniac and a hypocrite. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Andy.

Think you've got your wish there Smile

And, as much as you may scorn him he does have an excellent coaching pedigree ... having trained such players as John McEnroe, Marcelo Ríos, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, and Tim Henman amongst others. Ríos and Kafelnikov both achieved their number 1 tennis rankings while under his guidance, and Henman reached a career-high of 4 under his tutelage.

What happened with Murray and Stefanki?

Murray had one of his hired help call Stefanki and ask him if he wanted the job of coach.  Stefanki said that he would have thought that Murray would have called himself to talk about it and not get one of his employees to do it for him.  Hurt feelings and testosterone everywhere Smile

Yes I thought that was a very positive interview too. It's good that he's thinking the decision through so carefully, it's important that he makes the right choice. It's not essential for him to have a coach in this part of the clay season anyway, so long as he gets one before the grass season starts.

Yet again BBC Scotland have just shown their interview with Andy - prbably on their website if anyone wants to check it out. Andy stated that he has had many offers..but he particularly wants a coach to help him at the GS - that is his priority

Well, at least he's doing something about his situation finally..thats better than doing nothing, which is what he has been doing (regarding a new coach) since last autumn. It seems he's been procrastinating but I really do believe that its hard  to find the right person with the right CV, and the chemistry between them has to be good. nervous crossfingers

He also said on Sky that he is not panicking about his form.. Well thats good as losing your head in a crisis is never a good idea, WE CAN DO ALL THE PANICKING FOR HIM INSTEAD!!! We are all well qualified to do that on MW... Common Andy. We gotta love him and be loyal!!!

Thank goodness for some positivity about this.  Did some members of MW really think that Andy was going to pluck a coach out of thin air within days of splitting with Corretja?

Why are people saying this isn't news? Cause it certaintly is. Murray has never said in the past he'd work with the addidas coaches if he couldn't find himself one, plus we expected him to be annoucing his coach by now, we now know why we've been waiting and why we will have to wait a bit longer. This is vital news, otherwise I'd still be browsing the internet every hour of the day to see when Murray appoints a coach, now I'll restrict myself to once a day seeing as he might not get a full time coach till after the french open

He is.

Should have heard him after Roddick beat Murray at Wimbledon. Basically, he called Murray a pusher, even though Roddick is one of the least offensive-minded players on the tour. Can't stand that sort of hypocrisy.

Acted like a twat when some guy was trying to interview him before that semi-final too.
