If Andy had been Nole he'd have pulled out before the Melzer match. He's such a quitter. Let's just thank our stars he isn't and still gives it all he's got! R4, let's face it, isn't that great. But it's not a disaster! As soon as he got the cold he wasn't going to win. I think we should be pleased he beat Melzer!
I heard today he's pulled out 5 times in grand slams! I mean... what the hell! Who does that?

Pulling out before a match is not a big deal, pulling out in an attempt prevent your opponent, who is better on the day, from looking like he beat you is where the problem is and Nole does that a lot.

That would be wonderful wouldn't it, Bev? I have never really liked Novak but I couldn't pinpoiint a reason. Charming, said the right things at press etc etc. Got all the right publicity, but there was just something I couldn't cotton to. Then there were the injuries and the retirements in matches, somehow he seemed immature - not what he was made out to be and now the retirement against Roddick. Maybe he couldn't continue but the 'but' is still there and the bad comments from commentators keep coming.
I didn't realise how many grand slams he's retired 'injured' in. Well, what goes around, comes around I say. Fedex best watch out!

Why would the English want to do that? What has Andy ever done to offend the English?
I hope you are not coming out with those comments due to
this incident

Why do you allow non-members to post here, Mark? Just curious...

Free yourself from ignorance on the matter, clearly you haven't even bothered to read what I just posted. The actual journalist who did the interview was teasing Murray about Scotland, Murray responded in a similar manner. It's completely fair and harmless, you can't interpret the comment any other way when you consider the overwhelming evidence.

Because I want everyone to feel they can contribute to this website, even the ones that don't want to go to the effort of registering. Keeping it restricted to the news is easy to manage.
St George is a member btw.

Ignorance, me? I have read the article, several times in fact and along with other instances it just hightens my distaste of this man and I'm not alone on this either.

So when we know for a fact the comments were innocent, how can you then feel more negative about Murray due to the incident? You can't be a rational human being if that is the case.
