We'll be cheering on Brits because I'm sure its Britains Davis Cup Team, not the English Davis Cup Team!

And I guess you love cheering on a Scot as well then since you're on his fan site.

Of course im a big Andy fan. Just in my experience Scots are much more negative towards englishmen than the english are of scots. The main reason the tie is being held in Scotland is because of Andy. They arent there to see some low ranked english bloke.

Hope the LTA do the decent thing and offer customers 1/2 refunds on production of their ticket in light of both the credit crunch and Andy not being able to headline.
That'll be the day.

It was Jamie Murray that Fleming used to play doubles with. Fleming and Hutchins haven't played together.

I read with horror a quote from Jeremy Bates who said if Andy Murray won Wimbledon, there would be as much chance of additional success as there would be if he didn't.

My immediate thought was, well certainly if the LTA have anything to do with it.

Because there are more important things in life? Also, what is there to dislike each other for? The whole Scots v English thing is ridiculous and totally outdated.

I know, I know. I hate England as much as anyone and I'm English through and through (with a smattering of German). But, by representing GB, he is by necessity turning out for England (and mainly England at that, since the population of Scotland and Wales is so small).

The populations are irrelevant. And I didn't say that I hate England. Not sure where that came from.

Andy does represent England when he plays for GB, albeit in a very minor way.

England is part of the union, Andy represents the union, ergo, Murray represents those English pigdogs. (Monty Python reference, not baiting)

Yes, but it's an utterly pointless issue to bring up, since he is representing the other countries as well.

Clydey gonnae cheer me up because l'm feeling pissed of and thinking of leaving Andy's support. l'm sick to the teeth of all this disappointment with him. Surely he could have made an appearance on the bench?
