Clydey gonnae cheer me up because l'm feeling pissed of and thinking of leaving Andy's support. l'm sick to the teeth of all this disappointment with him. Surely he could have made an appearance on the bench?
Are you for real? He has a virus, let's hope he doesn't try and make an appearance just to please a few people, let him stay in bed.

Of course im a big Andy fan. Just in my experience Scots are much more negative towards englishmen than the english are of scots.

Good posting!

I think it's something to do with patriotism. Scotland is a relatively small tight nation, glorifying everything whereas England is much larger and diverse meaning people don't really feel like they should fight for their nationality as much.

And I agree with Joe in that the rivalry is outdated on a social basis, never had any trouble and my accent is as English as you get. Smile

So rather than have sympathy for Andy while he suffers from a virus, you threaten to stop supporting him? Crazy.

It's not Andy's fault though, so no point getting angry at him and threatening to stop supporting him.

Because there are more important things in life? Also, what is there to dislike each other for? The whole Scots v English thing is ridiculous and totally outdated.

Well Mel Gibson's braveheart movie never helped you's. Younger Scots were leaving the cinemas with their fists clinched.
Dunno if that was a good idea making that movie or not.

This is a joke, right? You do realize that the events depicted in that film took place over 700 years ago, don't you? Jesus wept, the Germans get less bile and WW2 was in living memory for a lot of people! If a film makes you that angry, I suggest you get help...

Northern Ireland got a rougher deal than Scotland and in a lot more recent memory......but what the f**k is the point in blaming English people today when they had nothing to do with it!!!  doh

Nice one, try to play the victim card and make me out to be some sort of tyrant!  roflmao

So you're saying you're not bothered by Braveheart? Why mention it, then? I've never seen you disagree with the whole Scotland v England thing or say that the young Scots coming out of the cinema were wrong to become so angry. Perhaps you could clear up the confusion?
