Murray's apparently playing Sydney, right? Can someone fix that? Not sure if something needs to be taken out first.

If he is playing, it'll have to be as a wildcard. I doubt it very much, since it's the week before the Australian.
I bet some journalist speculated he'd play to regain 4th spot, not realising it wouldn't help since the seeding is done from a week earlier! (And anyway, even if it was being done the Monday after Sydney, he'd be 4th anyway, even without playing.)

Found it mentioned here but could easily be a mistake.

The Hopman Cup, which begins on January 2, involves the players contesting an individual singles match and a mixed doubles. Murray will then play in Sydney before the first grand slam.

It's extremely unlikely that he's been given a wildcard. Why has virtually noone heard about it? Why didn't he just enter normally - the deadline has just passed?
