Brad Gilbert, the man who guided Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick to grand slam tennis success, has agreed to become Andy Murray's new coach, according to John McEnroe.
Official confirmation of the appointment is expected within the next few weeks when Murray is playing in the United States. He is scheduled to fly there tomorrow to play in a grass-court event at Newport, Rhode Island.
The appointment of Gilbert would be a huge coup and recognition of Murray's potential. Gilbert is one of the most respected coaches in the world, having worked with Agassi for six years, during which time the American won six grand slam titles. Gilbert then teamed up with Roddick and guided him to the 2003 US Open crown before the pair split at the end of the year.
McEnroe, a friend of Gilbert, said yesterday: From what I understand, it is a done deal between Brad Gilbert and the Lawn Tennis Association. - [eurl=http://www.theherald.co.uk/sport/65455.html]Full Story (theherald.co.uk)[/eurl]

I think its just speculation guys. Until I get a statement from Apey or Andy himself, then I will continue to believe it's speculation.

Didn't BBC say something about that on their website? I think I probably wait til Andy got something on his site in case if this is not true.
