"Life changes can be very difficult, I know" was the loss of Teletext really that bad for you?  w00t
Look on the bright side, we no longer have to endure the moron adam from runcorn`s sick fixation of the manly williams frankensisters   lol

Murray will definately win a slam final...just as long as Federer isn`t in it, and who`s good enough to stop Federer from reaching the 3 remaining slam finals of this year?
he`s already reached 8 straight slam finals in a row, and I think he`ll reach all 3 finals again this year.

I think it would be better for Murray to face Federer in a quarter or semi final of a slam, where he probably wouldn`t be favourite to win, then he can just go out and let loose without the pressure.
If Murray wins, then he will have overcome his biggest obstacle and he can then go on to claim his destiny...win a slam!

Have just watched the video on Eurosport player of the Federer/Davydenko semi in Doha.   Davydenko showed no signs of emotion, just kept on grinding Fed down with some brilliant play.  Andy's problem is that he tends to let it all hang out and Fed took full advantage of his obvious nervousness and frustration.  If Andy can learn to overcome this, I think more than half his battle to succeed will be won.

shocking  Uncovered at last!  Wondered if anyone was going to make the connection.  Teletext as a whole was a big loss - but have to say that that page was frequently repetitive and uninteresting ... and let's not forget the daily bore from Lytham St Annes.  Glad to say I'm now recovering well from withdrawal symptoms   Smile

Thanks Mark for the link to join the forum, have managed to do so.

Wifired Onions, you have posted everything I have been trying to say but could not put into words, well done, excellent post.

Aileen, the link you posted to the photo of Andy with tears in his eyes is a killer.

Janscribe, you ask where I live. I'm in Sydney. Came to Australia for a six months working holiday (I'm from Essex) and never left. In those days (1972) there was no restictions, just stayed if you wanted to, unlike now.

I was reading today that Lendl lost 5 slams before going on to win 8 slams. I hope this does not happen to Andy but I agree a sports psychologist is a must.

I find it insulting to Andy that some people think "smuggy" will have to retire before Andy can win a slam. Not true, Andy just needs to get the nerves under control.

Have to say Andy is so popular here, next time he steps onto RL arena, if the roof is closed the roar of the crowd will blow the roof off. Just hope you all cheer him on at Wimbledon. He deserves it.

Jean, Lovely to hear from you again - don't worry we'll be cheering him on - win or lose and it is so good to hear about his popularity in Australia. We spent a week in Sydney on our second visit, staying in an apartment block overlooking and close to Darling Harbour - it was a wonderful week. The buses to everywhere were close by - we travelled the monorail - we used the little ferries and explored - we did a day trip to the Blue Mountains and explored that fabulous shopping centre with the moving models and its super shops. We've never been to New York but it cannot be better than your lovely city - it's never to be forgotten.
