Andy is very good at breaking his opponent's service game but not so good at holding, particularly if he breaks early in the set. IMO he still needs to be more consistent on his first serve and still needs to improve his second serve, especially as he goes deeper in a match. If he can do this, Andy will shorten his matches considerably and last out a slam much better and have a good chance of winning it. Until he does this, I do not think he will win a slam in spite of his brilliance.
I think these improvements still to be made are what John Lloyd (and others)mean when they say that it will be 2 years before Andy plays his best tennis. Andy himself says he has a way to go and I think this is why he doesn't predict he will definitely win a Grand Slam this year. He could be lucky, he is improving all the time, but he also says he is working towards a more consistant first serve. He'll achieve hi ambitions one day I feel sure.

I disagree.... John Lloyd knows sod all tbh... Andy has always improved far quicker than anyone ever predicted. I think he will win two slams this year.... he has the fire in his belly... you can see it now in his eyes when he plays. I honestly think he will peak early and probably rest on his laurels once he is around 25..... just my opinion.....

I agree that the lower first serve % and weak second serve were the two most obvious frailties in his game in Abu Dhabi. Nadal had it all his own way in scoring a few cheap service return winners off the second serve at times - but Andy still came through. If he can just sort that out (and it's been an obvious weakness for a while) then it would be a surprise for anyone to beat him. He really is that good now.

I'm so pleased that Andy beat both Federer & Nadal again. He seems to be much more confident & happier now ~ there is no doubt that he will be number one, this year or next. I like his new shorter haircut & his tan. He is beginning to look more like the photo on the cover of his autobiography ! Very handsome ! And with his new agent, he could be modelling like David Beckham ! I look forward to seeing that ! A few years off yet I would imagine, although an occasional photoshoot wouldn't harm & could make him a lot of money !

Are you serious? He has a body die to for! And a really nice pair of eyes, just needs to shave more often

I'm referring to his face, sure he may be hansom but he's no where near in the same potential modelling league as someone like Beckham. I obviously expect all the girls here to disagree.

Murray is not a good looking guy. It's not that hard to get an amazing body if you have the time to dedicate to it in the gym. Facially, he is pretty ugly

He's very average looking in the face and because of that he should not be modelling.

To be fair we haven't had a proper photoshoot yet, most of the time we see him in half shaven sweaty mode with his jaw wide open which no one can pull off. What's your definition of a model? Blonde tanned pretty boy... Beckham

I don't think he's ever been particularly attractive but he has been improving with age. Just because someone is not attractive, doesn't make them ugly.
