I know.... but taste is subjective. I think he is extremely good looking, of course if I were younger that is. He has charisma too and with his looks its a lethal combo!

We know you find any young man ridiculously attractive..... just look at you and J
Personally I think your opinion is of less value than Mark's on this subject

Murray is not a good looking guy. It's not that hard to get an amazing body if you have the time to dedicate to it in the gym. Facially, he is pretty ugly
Rubbish! He certainly looks a bit morose and uncharming sometimes when he's concentrating deeply but the smiles in UAE during both his Federer and Nadal matches made him look a different man. Anyway the handsome sods are often conceited and full of their own importance. Andy is a very presentable chap and a thoroughly decent one even if he doesn't have a lot of charisma to go with it.

I disagree.... John Lloyd knows sod all tbh
He reached a Slam final, I think he's quite an astute pundit.
The problem that oldtimer was describing is true, and that's matchplay. Federer in his prime used to start slowly in a set, then raise his game at the end to win 6-4, 6-3 etc etc, it meant his matches were much shorter and less energy was used, Andy will get used to playing like this in a few months I believe.

Do you think he will emulate the Serb and win his first slam only to find his confidence / game deserting him towards the end of the season or will the good form continue for a full season?

There's far more to Murray than there is to Djokovic. IF Andy were to win a Slam in the near future, it's surely only onwards and upwards from there? I'm looking forward to the clay this year, hopefully Muzz can crack that surface this time.

I think once Murray gets his first Slam, he'll be hungry for more rather than get complacent.

Form especially in tennis can be extremely transitory, but when you consider Djokovic and Andy there are striking similarities between the two’s progression ( abet with Andy twelve months behind).
So if Djokovic can lose his form so dramatically after a his first slam win what makes Andy so different?
Or is it once he wins a hard court slam all we have to do is sit back and enjoy twenty back to back hard court slams for the next ten years (excluding injury).

Djokovic is a joker, Andy's got that Scottish blood in him, he'll keep fighting until he's the best in the world and then the best in the history books.

That would be so funny but also so appropriate, he would have achieved freedom from the constant media pressure he has in Britain.

That might get him a fine, but it'd be worth it.
