Good match to get used to the conditions/court speed. Smile

nah, good chance of being over stretched if they advance further and conditions can change from day to day...i take it that andy has had practice on the court to have an idea of the speed

Doubt he'll have been practising on the show court.

Kas / Kohli are a tough team though, but surely doubles with your mate in a competitive environment is more useful preparation than just going through the motions in practice day after day.

Yes it is but I'm concerned that when Andy suffers a loss in doubles, it may subconsciously damage his confidence for his next singles match. We all know how much Murray hates to lose, he's not a good loser at all.

Do you think he's that mentaly fragile?  I don't think lack of confidence has ever been and will never be a problem.  Also as he gets better and better and loses in singles less often, more frequent doubles defeats will help to remind  him just how much he hates to lose.

I'm talking about the subconscious so I'm not sure whether mental fragility is relevant. It probably doesn't affect him but there is a chance it does and that's what I'm worried about.
