Andy Murray has made it through to the final of the Abu Dhabi exhibition tournament with a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) defeat of Roger Federer.

It seems clear that a match between these two players will never be a boring occasion with the will to win strongly instilled in both of them. Therefore, despite the fact that this was an exhibition match, by the third set, both players executed their tactics with the physical intensity and mental endurance of any semi-final.

Throughout the match both players attempted shots that would not normally feature in a competitive encounter. Murray lost a break in the third set after trying to jump for a lob that he needed to run back to.

It was great. Every time you play Roger it's a great challenge. We've had a lot of close matches In the past. Hopefully I can get him in a Slam one day. The atmosphere was unbelievable today.

I think it's just I haven't played a match for six or seven weeks and today was pretty physical, so I'm sure it's (his back) just a bit stiff.

However, the crowd seemed to rouse that competitive spirit and the final set tie-break was as intense as any tie-break these men have played in the past. Federer’s erratic forehand deserted him at the key moments and Murray came through 8-6. Only concern of the match was the Scot's seeming discomfort with his back. However, he assured fans in the post match interview that he believed it merely stiff after his most physical encounter in months.

The Scot will face world number one Rafael Nadal in the final tomorrow, the Spaniard having defeated Davydenko in the earlier semi-final.

Have I missed something? Isn't the Nadal-Davydenko match on now?

I don't mind the colours/design but the fact it's not sleeveless is why it is so bad.
