Andy Murray has booked his place in the quarter-finals at Doha after easing past Germany's Philipp Petzschner, 6-2 6-4.

The first two games went with serve but Murray achieved an early break in the third game that had one rally lasting 23 shots. Murray took a 3-1 lead with three aces, and eventually won the first set in 37 minutes.

Murray, who was in complete control throughout the match, broke in the third game in the second set to comfortably seal his place in the quarter-finals.

It's Stakhovsky. Murray caned him in straights back in 2006 on clay in Davis Cup. The guy is no better than Montanes or Petzschner, so it SHOULD be a straightforward route to the semis and the big one against Fed.

He is such a hard player to beat when he serves well. Even if his serve % is down he tends to rely on his superb return of serve anyway, but when both are clicking it's a joy to watch.

So yeah, it looks like another Fed matchup. I think we will seeing plenty of these this year!
