Have to have blood test, ECR and chest xray.  They think its Marfans syndrome

I have heard of this before, Connor....maybe because I'm a Bio student. No worries, you will be perfectly fine. hug

The blood test and ECR are on the 23rd April, chest x ray not yet booked.

The thing I'm most worried about is that if I had the disease, I would have to give up tennis and I've always said I will play tennis for as long as I will live.

I'm 94% sure I don't have it, but if I did, who the **** cares? Nothing major. I get on with my life as usual.
That's the spirit Connor!

It's pretty rare Connor! Only 1 in 5,000 and 3 out of 4 cases are genetic, so the odds are in your favour sweetie!
Which makes wonder how any GP could possibly reach this diagnosis so quickly, based solely on what seems to be pretty flimsy evidence.

Thankfully that's not long to wait by NHS standards.

I know it's difficult but try not to think about that right now.  You can cross that particular bridge should it ever come down to that, and you'd get plenty of support as well so you wouldn't be left to cope with it on your own.

Actually, something I completely forgot about, was the main purpose I went to the doctors. Fainting. What I have read of Malfans, nae mention of fainting, so the GP's clearly veered off what I actually went there for. If that is the case, he is an arse.

That could be because you had a bit of a shock yesterday! I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about it! The odds are good that the doctor is way off the mark, so try to stay positive! There are loads of good vibes heading in your direction!

I actually don't think its that at all because I rarely thought about it last night. I think it might be lack of sleep due to it being the holidays and the heat too. Smile

I keep hearing about this heat south of the border.  Would you like to send some of it up here? #cold #dull

I'm absolutely sure lack of sleep is one of the reasons you have no energy.  You've been joining me in night owl territory recently, but the difference is that an energetic teenager like yourself needs a lot of sleep whilst us older folk don't.
