I'd like to be the good person my dog thinks I am!

Good God Connor......No wonder you were terrified!  shocking That was a close call, but I'm glad you're ok! It was very brave of you to pull it out, or the house could've gone up, but probably better to make sure it's unplugged at night in future! Thank God you were awake!

I have just been reading the paper and saw a picture of Bally she looks so ill, glad Andy and other tennis player are playing a match for her to help with her treatment. Martina Natralova is one who will be playing she also had cancer and it is so good to see all Bally's friend rallying to help her. I was very upset to see how ill she looked keep fighting Bally I am sure we are all hoping you will get better soon.

Terrified, never felt so scared.

Was sleeping and suddenly I began to hear crackling and could smell smoke. Look down on the floor and the laptop charger has partially combusted. Started panicking, so unplugged the charger and threw it in the bin, which of course is a stupid idea as it could set fire to the bin. So have thrown it outside in the back garden.
I'd have been terrified too!  You handled it very well though, but I hope you take the charger back to the place you got it because they should be made aware of what happened and return it to the manufacturer, and give you a free replacement.  I always switch my laptop off completely when I go to bed anyway, and when I go out.

I feel so saddened about Bally and my thoughts are with her too.  She's had enough illness to put up with in her life as it is, but she really is a very determined and courageous lady.  It's great to hear about the support she's getting, and I know that both Andy and Ross are doing all they can to help her.
